Health and fitness goals 2018

The beginning of each year always feels so good, it is a time to start something new, make new year resolutions and of course, set goals.
Our health is an important priority and setting goals that can improve our health is ever crucial.

Additionally, maintaining adequate fitness level and exercising regularly are also essential to us. So, today I lined up health and fitness goals for 2018. If you didn’t achieve any of your fitness goals in 2016, this year is a chance to do that. Also, if you felt you achieved a lot last year, you can improve on setting more challenging fitness goals in 2018.
This goals are S.M.A.R.T and very much achievable. I will also briefly point out the  best ways to achieve your fitness goals. Let’s begin.
“The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals.”

1. Get a flat belly
One of our main goal should be to reduce belly fat. Belly fat is caused by excess fat deposit in the abdominal region. People with belly fat are at risk of suffering from diseases like type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and cardiovascular diseases. You don’t necessarily need to get rock hard abs. A flat tummy is just enough to stay healthy.
To achieve this fitness goal in 2018, you need to make healthy lifestyle choices, like dieting properly and avoiding alcohol. You also need to make out time to perform abdominal exercises, like crunches.
2. Run a  marathon
Running a marathon involves running for 42.195 kilometers (26 miles). It is a useful fitness exercise that tests your endurance. It improves your cardiovascular and overall health.
Running a marathon could be one of your fitness goals for 2018. You don’t have to run a full marathon, you could run a half marathon (13 miles). To achieve this, you need to choose a convenient time to participate and practice running through a considerable distance.

5. Lift a heavier weight
You might have probably been lifting weights in the gym for a while, but you are no seeing changes in your body, this could be because you are not lifting enough weight.
The last fitness goal I’ll be advising you to achieve in 2018 is to lift a much heavier weight during your gym session. Lifting heavier weights will challenge you and change your body more effectively.
To achieve this fitness goal you nees to start by increasing the weight little by little, then gradually increase the weight. You need to carefully decide when to increase the weight, determining the speed at which you lift and how feel after lifting, will help you achieve this goals in time.
